David is the founder, and President, of the fgl society. He is an Engineering Science graduate of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, University of Toronto and the Sloan Fellowship Masters Programme, London Business School, UK. He is President, Mirëdita International, a firm specializing in expatriate recruitment and effectiveness. and is a member of the Council of Advisors, New York, USA. David is past President of the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Council for the Americas.
Kimete Katie Basha i Novesejt
Kimete is a senior faculty member of the International School of Brussels where she leads the ISB Libraries. She is the former Executive Director of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) based in Basel, Switzerland and a member of the advisory board of the Organizacion Espanola para el Libro Infantil y Juvenil (OEPLI). Kimete has lived in Europe for over twenty years and has a long history of public service that includes her work in human rights. She is a graduate of Victoria College, University of Toronto.
Frank Figueroa
Frank is Latin America Sales Manager for Continental Airlines. He is responsible for promoting Continental's Latin America product to Travel agencies, community organizations, and select chambers of commerce in eleven states in the U.S, British Columbia and Alberta. Frank has been recognized through the company's "Fly to Win" sales recognition program on three occasions.
Geoff G. Martin
Geoff is a graduate of the Department of Earth Sciences, Memorial University, Newfoundland and the American Graduate School of International Management, Thunderbird Campus, Arizona, USA. Geoff is closely involved in the international energy sector with experience in exploration, technology marketing, project management and business development.
Fred Somerville
Fred is a retired partner in the Calgary office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. He was admitted to the bar of the province of Alberta in 1978. Fred graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 1977 and he articled with the law firm of Howard Dixon Mackie Forsyth. Prior to attending law school, and after graduating from St. Andrews College in 1968, he attended the University of Toronto (Trinity College) where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in history. Subsequent to graduating from the University of Toronto, he attended the University of Grenoble where he studied French language, history and political science.
Diego de la Torre
Diego is co-founder, Chairman and CEO of La Viga S.A., the largest building materials distribution company in Perú. La Viga is ranked amongst the top 150 companies in Perú. Diego is a Masters of Business Administration graduate of the London Business School, UK and also a Licenciado in Business Administration from the Universidad del Pacifico, Lima, Perú. He is President of the Global Compact Committee, CONFIEP (Peruvian Confederation of Private Enterprises) and was recently invited by the Government of Canada to speak at the Organization of American States, Washington, D.C.
Artine Utomo
Artine is the CEO of PT Cipta TPI, one of the 10 largest private national TV stations in Indonesia. She is also a board member of Yayasan Pantau, a journalist training organisation. Artine is an accountancy graduate from the Trisakti University, Jakarta and the Sloan Fellowship Masters Programme, London Business School, UK. Prior to joining TPI, she was the President Director of PT BII Finance, a major finance company dealing with Factoring and Leasing.
Kamil Zabielski
Kamil is a Senior Executive Officer for the Council on Ethics of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund (Norwegian Ministry of Finance). He has worked as human rights advisor for the Council on Ethics since its establishment in 2005, working on issues pertaining to socially responsible investment, primarily conducting investigations and analysis of companies involved in serious violations of international human rights and environmental standards. He has a Masters of Law in International Law and a M.Phil in Human Rights Law.
